Star Elbow Patches

Mindful Mending meets Design. Whether you have a prized hand knit, or a store bought sweater these Star Elbow Patches will add style while also repairing those dreaded holes in the elbows. With only 8 gm per color needed almost any fingering weight yarn from your stash can be used.

Yarn

Fingering Weight Yarn.
Main Color (MC) .3 oz, 8 gm, appx 46 yds Contrast Color (CC) .25 oz, 7 gm, appx 40 yds

Gauge
24 sts & 41 rows = 4" in chart pattern
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

Needles & Tools

3.25 mm / US 3, needle; B / 2.5 mm crochet hook. Or size to obtain gauge.
Tapestry needle, 1⁄4 yd fusible interfacing (optional).

Construction Notes
The elbow patches are knit back and forth. Both stranded color work and intarsia are used. The back of the patches will not be visible, so you may work the chart in either stranded color work, intarsia or both
